Triple Helix Nigeria (THN) was established in December 2022 as a national innovation platform dedicated to strengthening Nigeria’s research and innovation ecosystem. As a neutral convening body, THN bridges long‑standing gaps between knowledge production, industrial application, and public policy.
Between 2022 and 2025, THN transitioned from a conceptual initiative into a legally registered, governance‑enabled, and internationally connected network — becoming a nationally recognised platform for innovation dialogue, policy engagement, and research commercialisation.
Today, THN continues to build on this foundation, expanding partnerships across academia, industry, and government, while positioning Nigeria as an active contributor to the global innovation ecosystem.

Formal CAC registration
Registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), establishing THN as a legal entity.
Nigeria’s THA national chapter
Recognised as Nigeria’s national chapter of the Triple Helix Association (THA).
Global engagement
Active participation in international THA conferences across Italy, Barcelona, São Paulo and Monterrey.
Maiden SciBiz Conference, 2024
Hosted the inaugural SciBiz Annual Conference in Abuja — a flagship forum for research commercialisation and innovation policy.
Core institutional frameworks
Developed the THN Strategic Blueprint, Governance Framework, and Innovation & Technology Transfer Policy.
